Singapore's 1st Singapore Tattoo Show 2009!

took leave just to attend this on the first day as this is going to be a milestone in Singapore's history. (The tickets are a little on the high side just to attend the show) Thanks to Utopia Studio (i got my 1st ink there) for daring to organize this show when tattoo is still a taboo to many asian cultures. To me, i view tattoos as a form of art and a way of expressing one self. Many will view those with full body tattoos as "siao" or "gangster" but nowadays with the introduction of such shows and programs like Miami Ink, LA Ink, London Ink and Tattoo Wars, tattoos are beginning to gain a acceptance with some people. Gone are those tattoos with chinese poems, gang slogans and fuggly dragon/tiger tattoos as they are being replaced with various types of tattoo cultures from around the world. I almost had another done at the show but due to unforeseen circumstances, i had to skip it. I went there early with my best bud Dino and we managed to join a short queue of people lining up for Chris Garver's autograph and i bought his posters planning to hang them in the living room. Many tattoo studio from different countries were there and the likes included Singapore, Taiwan, China, USA, Holland, Spain, Italy, Thailand, Philipines and our neighbour Malaysia. I was please to meet those tattoo artists and view their art on the spot. I was there from 12+ till almost 8pm when our back and legs could not take it any longer. Had to forgo the Tattoo Competetion and head back home due to aching bodies. Guess we are getting old...Seeya next year Tattoo Show!

went to the secret pavilion @ The Utimate Spa for a couple massage after buying a voucher @ North Point which costs $168 only (it's a first timer trial promotion). Had a scrub, massage and then hydra milk bath!

went to The Cathay to watch Bolt 3D and paid $13 per ticket! overall it still can't fight with the one we caught at Disneyland HongKong as the film is specially catered for maximum 3D effect including smell, water and vibration of the seat! the cartoon is enjoyable and the 3D effects commendable...hope there are more such shows coming to Singapore cinemas but the price should reduce a little as when little Franchesska grows older..i will bring her along to catch such animations!

it's actually a fake croachroach! but even a fake one can cause lotsa laffter in the office. but the funny thing is, even when they know it's a fake, they are still scared to touch it or be near it. there is only 1 guy who is really scared of it and he doesn't even wanna touch it or be near it. everytime we fling "xiao qiang" to him, he will get a huge shock n u will hear laffters flying around..a guy who did not enlist for national service is like tat bah..a guy who have never been in the rough...the funny thing is when he sees it, he will try to flick it away with watever he can get his hands on..anything but his bare hands...alamak! rite now xiao qiang is still surviving around our desk, hopefully no one throws him away as he is our mascot of "JOY"!

pictures 1 day after my operation...4 holes in my body...and the very culprit caught and store in a little container...there aint no escaping from me this time round! very informative videos i saw from youtube that is less nauseating to the stomach..i was pushed into the waiting area slightly before 12pm...1 doc had to put drips on me first and he missed the first time, had to "poke" me a second time to get it right. was there waiting n then the final moment came..push into the operating theater and then they started preparing..let me inhale some oxygen n then 1 anaesthetist injected me with probably "sleepy hold", within secs i was knocked out..i only came to when i heard a nurse calling out my name...but i was still very drowsy n acknowledged with a "huh" n went back to dreamland again. i even saw my father in law n could only managed a faint "pa" n went back to sleep..i was just so plain sleepy..pushed back into my ward n then i was still in a very drugged state, talk a bit with wifey n in law n off i go again into merry merry land...i only managed to recover after the nurse injected me with painkiller n make me less nauseous. wifey n my dad went back first when i couldn't even eat my dinner n left me to rest. friends came by later n i was much more awake then. tried to pee when the nurse asked me to n i couldn't. was scared tat my tool was spoilt after the operation. damn! i drank more water n finally at 11+pm, i woke up to my relief that i could have my 1st pee after the op. woke up the next morning n found my shirt was stained with blood, 1 of my wound had blood leaking out n i din realized it, anyway going home later so din change n left the hospital a little before 12pm.

watched this movie some time last week. Jack Neo still film movies regarding Singaporean everyday life. Yes, living in singapore is hard with $$$ really not enuff, but the sucker punch tat really got me during this movie is the growing old process. After watchinguthe show, i really dread my parents growing old, dread myself growing old, dread everyone growing old. when my parents are old and have dementia, the burden of taking care of them greatly increases. does sending them to an old folks home means i am unfilial, but the stress of coping with money and duty made the 3 brothers fought. i for myself, dun mind being in an old folks home next time if i have problem taking care of myself when i am old. But parents love eventually won over and saves the day..a parent's love is the greatest thing on earth...i must admit...

Metal Gear Solid 4 (Game Review)

finally got my MGS4 game from Gamestop and the disappointing thing is that the exclusive DVD did not arrive with it and now they say is limited stock! WTF! how could they do that to gamers?! anyway i am very pissed off and still trying hard to get the DVD from them. during installation of the game, can see detailed old snake taking a puff and also some funny comments on the screen. at least not so bored when installing. the game started and i was blown off by the sheer graphical brilliance i am seeing on the screen. and the sounds tat comes with it is awesome! i only played the opening act and i was already so in love with it just by looking at the many cutscenes. ALL HAIL HIDEO KOJIMA! for bringing gamers a true masterpiece!

finally the last best friend to get married and it was fun as it was my first time being a "bro", had to go fetch the bride around 9am and then journey to and fro for the tea ceremony. punishment on the groom was not as bad as it turned out except for the mushroom tat he had to chew up (something tat he hates for the rest of his life) and almost vomitted. being an emcee for the 1st time also made me quite nervous but lucky for a couple of sips of beer made me braver...keke..had fun "tua-ing" the groom into singing a short verse for the bride and also asking them to declare their love in front of everyone...best part was the after party...druken groom talking nosense and also making a fool of himself..had a blast n then was lucky to have a room courtesy of the wedding couple to sleep in after a drowsy nite...

watched this movie last friday when we were suppose to be rehearsing our speech for our friend's wedding. anyway the story revolves around Narnia which has been "forsaken" after humans started to invade the place and all residents of Narnia went into hiding from those humans. Prince Caspian was brought up thinking Nardia was just a myth till he met the many characters that lived there after he had been forced to escape from his castle by his evil uncle. Still an intriguing movie except i hate Aslan appearing only when they seemed doom. why is he hiding like a coward in the first place instead of ruling Nardia and making it a peaceful place?

this movie is bout a dead fiancee trying to prevent her ex fiancee from loving another person but alas, love conquers all! the 2 lead actress share bout the same screentime but Lake Bell is normally not a leading lady and she score another supporting role in the below movie, thus i linked this 2 under a single blog space...she looks different in both movies and wifey din recognise her at all but i remembered her name..Desperate Housewife star Eva Longoria Parker is still hot as ever..latino heat!!

the 2 leads really matched up and created a gem of a movie in terms of laughter! the movie typically leaves everyone in stitches wif their never ending squabbles. as wat all romantic comdies are, when 2 strangers fight, they will end up loving each other instead. this is really a must watch for those who love Cameron Diaz (i love her ass!) quirky personality and Ashton Kutcher naughty boy antics! these 2 are a match made in heaven!

Forbidden Kingdom + Ironman (Movie Review)

caught this and it ain't a blockbuster movie IMHO, still seems strange to me to see Jackie Chan n Jet Li speaking in english in ancient China. there are still a couple of funny scenes were laffing out, otherwise a typical B-grade type of movie churned out to earn some quick bucks for the 2 leading actors.

din watched tis wif wifey tis time round as she wanted me to chill out wif my friends after a long exile. i really appreciate the gesture but this was 1 movie i hoped she din miss it as i feel it's quite good after a few recent medicore type of superhero movie din make quite a good impression on me. i wasnt an Ironman comic book fan but the movie did make me wanna read more on it, it's a very entertaining movie tat i can watch again...hmm..maybe can consider buying the blu ray disc when it's out. Robert Downey looks old in the movie but he is still very funny to me. quite a few scenes tat made me laff out loud!

GTA IV (Game Review)

got my special edition from Amazon last week and it came with the additional GTA IV License Plate. Collectors'!

the stuff tat came wif it were nice and i was like a little kid unpacking my christmas present the day i picked it up from Post Office. i will never get anything through VPOST again unless they can buck up their service as they really slowed down my package from arriving earlier. enuff of my whining, well the game is really great! read up reviews from a few websites and some game mags i bought, all scores were full and even over full marks! the graphics IMHO was not tat next gen. but maybe it was the way the animator drew up Liberty City, it's a work of art from the cover art book i have from the special edition. The game is pretty much the same as previous GTA but with greater detail added..i am amazed at the intelligence of the world around main character Niko Belic. He is 1 funny "dun play a fool wif me" dude who came to Liberty City to look for his cousin Roman (1 very ti ko peh who lurves fake tittes!). i have never played any GTA for long but this is 1 GTA tat i will try to get 100% completion. Can't wait for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriot coming next month. Shucks! wife is gonna complain no time for her lately!

1 disappointing thing was the map tat came wif the game was crumpled at the top upon unwrapping. must be the packer rushing through their job to meet deadline.

went to Buckaroo BBQ and Grill near Sembawang Park for the 1st time with babe for our 6th year anniversary. WOW! It's been 6 years of marriage and we just had our first kid 5 months+ ago. Our marriage was quite a roller coaster ride with fights/quarrels and love. But it withstood time and we are still happily in love with each other with an addtional to the family. surprised her wif tulips as i told her b4 tat i will only give her flowers when she least expects it...actually i took pics of the food but accidentally deleted it from my HP..

Had mushroom soup and the famous buffalo wings there. The mushroom soup was great..tasty with real yummy mushrooms and the bread that serves as the bowl was crispy on the outside n soft inside. we had level 1 buffalo wings as babe can't take too spicy stuff. tink they haf till level 10! but to order up till tat level comes pricier wif every additional level. din like the wings as i tink it was too sour. Had a chicken n steak combo and man was the steak huge! we shared the dish as the dish itself was bout 50 buckaroos. pun not intended...steak was hard..i ordered medium n it came well done. thumbs down for tat...chicken was ok but not tat great..food was expensive but no gst or service charge..so still consider ok..shld b quite a nice place to chill out sometimes as they haf a bar there..

was home in the afternoon doing some household chores and abit of gaming...set off to visit gal n the dentist for a cleanup in the evening...clinic only opens at 630pm so off i went to visit gal first..lucky she did not have high fever although her temperature was a bit close to having a fever...after playing wif her n having my dinner..i went to the dentist again but the dental was closed on tues nite..damn it..they should at least have placed the sign outside the front entrance instead of inside as the dental is sharing the place with another clinic..i walked outta the shop n saw some aunties rushing off to see something...overheard 1 of them who did not follow saying she dun wanna see as scary...being kaypoh...i saw 2 of them walk across the road to Blk 109 n to my surprise..there was a huge crowd of people behind the block...i walked over there n found out 1 malay guy standing on his 4th storey kitchen's ledge..he keep talking loudly with someone in the hse..anyway heard quite a few pple say 4th storey fall down won't die also..hahaha...anyway there is a big ass airbag on the ground waiting for him to plonk...i stood there waiting for some exciting moment but was ushered slightly further away as the policeman wanted to keep the crowd further away...saw civil defence guys in the 5th floor's kitchen preparing for swoop but i tink some police officers managed to grab the guy and pulled him forcefully into the flat...game over and some pple clapped...was expecting some excitement tat the guy will land on the airbag but as expected by some, if he really wanted to jump, he would have went up higher floor n jumped down...

Will install the new cable once i shift house...haha..gonna get scolded for wasting money again..but cheaper than outside stores by at least 20 bucks..had been busy takin care of princess n now leave her 2 watch Playhouse Disney. gonna bathe her soon..

feel so lonely sometimes when being alone..havent even got time to touch my PS3 or Wii yet..

had a really tiring day 2day at work...can u believe me leaving work after 10pm on a friday nite..was so busy entertaining stoopid users all day long and my blood really boiled! smore had 2 entertain some bloody guy till after 8pm n only did i say i am leaving the office soon tat he stopped calling me to help him...tat was juz a trick 2 stop him calling me n wasting my bloody time to finish up my other work...came home n mop the floor, sterilize the milk bottles, bathe the dog, boiled hot water, wash dirty cloths....the list is so long n i am totally shacked out now typing tis...

after sending her to the airport..went 2 get hot tea as abit hungry n then went home n tossed around on bed n cant sleep..but i am vy tired n ended up really dozing off when it was time to wake up..damn it!

a tingling sense of loneliness/emptiness is my msn message of the day...

had been an avid supporter of local movies and this movie is not much different from previous Jack Neo's movies..tis time round he pokes fun at Loan Sharks from SG and across the causeway..mostly or the entire movie is shot on our friendly neighbours land..the funny was quite hilarious especially the irrespressible comedian Mark Lee is very funny being the Ah Gua husband of Fann Wong. Thumbs up for Fann Wong for shredding her girl next door image and putting on thick eyebrowns n a scar for her protrayal of Shao He Bang head honcho. Both of them also dipped in a disgusting pool of dirty water filled with dump..Richard Low was in his usual hokkien slanging ex-triad boss role..he is damn hilarious with his hokkien words minus the usual expletives...there r quite a number of animation used for a local movie..tink it was to take out the violent scenes from the fights to make it more humourous..

had an early vday dinner so as to beat the crowd and price :) went to Angus Steak House at Taka for a nice meal..the steak considered 1 of the best i have eaten so far..kinda make the rest tat i had b4 sucks big time! considering the expensive price i am paying for the steak..i doubt the standard will be bad anyway..reached there early n got wifey her fav Tatty Bear which i havent bought for ages..asked the salesperson to wrapped it up like a bouquet of flowers so as to makeup for the lack of flowers on vday. The teddy bear is still holding a small bunch of flowers though...heehee...
1st course of the dinner..appetizer...prawn salad..the bread top quite nice n crunchy..

tis is the typical rom-medy again and it revolves around 1 gal who simply cant say no to being a bridesmaid to her many colorful friends...she helps plans their weddings to the very teeny tiny details n make their big day an enjoyable day..she ends up collecting up till 27 bridesmaid "costumes" in her closet n thus the name of the movie..

her dream guy is her boss n she is the PA for him n thus knows exactly wat he wants..boss is 2 blind 2 spot her beauty n met her little "pampered" sister at a company event n they hit it off immediately n boss falls for little sister n big sis plans for their wedding n ends up heartbroken..met a writer who gets on her nerves always but eventually falls for him n marries him..little sis "lies" got exposed prior to the wedding n boss cancels the wedding..yadayada...the End...the little sis is Malin Akerman who starred in the recent "The heartbreak kid" as the wild wife of Ben Stiller..she's got a hot body!!

this is 1 of the most talked about movies prior to 2008...the suspense of the trailer shown in cinemas and tv spots made me wanting to know more about it.

just what is tis thing tat is terrorizing the whole city? the trailer was done perfectly but it leaves no clue tat the whole movie was going to be shot using handycam style aka Blair Witch Project. the camera work was not as shaky as BWP but still leaves my wife feeling nauseous. the movie is typically bout a creature from "god knows where" tat invaded the city and the government is evacuating everyone outta the goddamn city before they flatten the whole place with explosives as they cant seem to kill tat gollum lookalike who measures the same height as Statue of Liberty with the head intact tat is...

story revolves around 1 guy who is suposse to get outta the city the next day to Land of the Rising Sun for work but got caught up in the destruction n ended up losing beloved friends n family n finally himself...poor ending of the movie..or should i say no ending to the movie and just over like 70-80 mins long made tis show rated poorly by me..the movie will be more well received if they did not shot the whole movie using the same 1st person perspective..

did a movie marathon last friday by watching Alvin and The Chipmunks and then Warlords.
went in late by around 10 mins as Bugis really huge jam even at the carpark. really relive the memories of watching the cartoon version last time. the animated munks look cute especially Theodore..it's a great family movie to watch with the kids. Will be buying either the DVD or Blu-ray once it is out for my precious little one...

watched this last min as wifey wanted to watch it too and J suggested to watch when we were at the ticket booth. a little boring sometimes during the show as quite long winded in some scenes.. after the movie u either hate/love Jet Li. been too busy being a daddy to blog...got Fifa08 last week while still on paternity leave...it's quite a real soccer game..meaning it's so damn difficult to play and score goals even in semi-amateur mode..my god! i need to start bucking up...anyway oredi been playing online with some guys in GAX forum..we actually have a league of 10 teams in total..quite interesting to play with others as all play differently..

It's has definitely been a very long wait for Baby Franchesska to come into this world. Mummy had to endure 30 hours of contractions before relenting to C-Section. Poor mummy had to endure all the pain and baby suffered too coz she had been tryin to squeeze out of the small dilated hole but her head din manage to go thru and mummy decided to go ahead with the C-Section....daddy was anxiously waitin for his 2 precious outside the operating theatre...was hoping both mummy n baby doing fine...after 1 hour of waitin, daddy finally saw little princess sleepin away..and she made a big poo poo even before being carried up to the ward...nurse had to clean her up..oopsie...her head little swollen due to her tryin to force her way down the magical tunnel but it will subside within 48 hours..

mummy is doing fine and will stay a couple of days before coming home..look at her chubby cheeks...just like mummy....lips juz like daddy...

got this eagerly awaited game finally..smore a very good game coz it's been a long time since PS3 was launched. This can be comparable to God Of War but think GOW fanboys will blast me...haha..the music n graphics r amazing..lurve it! gameplay is quite fun too although i played for like 30-45mins...still in Chapter 1 though..gonna play again 2nite..need to decide to play tis or Lair...no time to play all... your main character is Nariko...daughter of a leader of a clan...your motive is to protect the Heavenly Sword n fight off Bohan (Andy Serkis - remember Gollum and King Kong?)

my 1st game review for PS3's Lair. Got this game bout 2 weeks ago and from the initial response from the reviewers at gamespot..the game has good graphics but fare badly at the controls..it seems like they can't seem to control the dragon well enuff n then they juz shut the game..for some of those who got it like me..it still plays ok..not tat difficult to control considering we gotta make use of the sixaxis to control the movement of the dragon..but it will be good if they let gamers choose the option instead of forcing everyone to use the sixaxis..i am sure some gamers will be put off by this..but not me..i am still playing it after gettin the game..but now gotta share playing time with Heavenly Sword and High Stakes Poker. in the game, you play as Rohn. 1 of dragon riders who will help the Asylian fight off the bad guys the Mokia..
